LCCMF - Kafka Quartet Residency

Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival Resident Ensemble

Burlington, Vermont

The Festival's Resident Ensemble Program is an opportunity for a young professional string ensemble to be in residence during the summer Festival. This ensemble then returns during the following season for performances, community workshops, and to work with the ONE Strings students at Burlington’s Integrated Arts Academy @ H.O. Wheeler School. During the Festival, members of the ensemble rehearse and perform with Festival musicians, and rehearse and record our Young Composers' works. The ensemble teaches masterclasses for local high school students and prepares a piece for performance, coached by Festival artists. In addition, they make their first visit to IAA, and meet with arts leaders in the Burlington area. Performances possibly at Flynn Space, Wake Robin, St. Paul's.
